Tending The World, Tending Ourselves

Fear is not only an ally.

In July session of our 9-month program Tending the World, Tending Ourselves: Social Justice work in Times of Uncertainty, we had a workshop with dear Tabish Roncucci.

In the workshop entitled Have no fear: An introduction to the fundamental body mechanisms of overcoming shock and fear, Tabish shared with us the embodied mechanism of trauma, how the nervous system reacts to traumatic events, how to access inner resources (from inside and outside) to deal with fear and difficulties and be able to liberate ourselves (our minds, bodies and hearts) to respond in more fluid, flexible ways to life’s difficulties.

TABISH is a therapist trained in Codependency work, Primal (childhood deconditioning), Trauma healing (Somatic Experiencing) and Hara Awareness. He shares his experience of growth and meditation by offering seminars and sessions in different countries. Since 1997 he works with Krishnananda and Amana and now as a Learning Love Institute teacher.

 

 

Bir Dağ Gibi Nefes Almak / Breathing Like a Mountain (Turkish)

Bu meditasyon, Mart 2020 ile Temmuz 2020 arasında Pandemi başlar başlamaz gönlüme düşüp hayata geçirdiğim, bedensel-zihinsel-enerjetik dengelenme ve dayanışma amaçlı verdiğim online Qiqong ve Meditasyon Derslerimden bir kayıt. Çok güzel bir grup ile her hafta Pazar sabahları buluştuk ve hem stres attık ve dengelendik, hem de ders için toplanan bağışları Pandemi sırasında maddi zorluk çeken kişi ve organizasyonlara ilettik.. Şifa ol’du.

This meditation was recorded as part of the Qiqong and Meditation courses I started at the beginning of the Pandemie in March 2020 and continued every Sunday morning online till July 2020. The aim was to return to and maintain balance in mind-body-energy and to show solidarity with those who experienced financial hardship during the Pandemie. With a wonderful group of participants, we met each Sunday morning online, de-stressed, connected and came back to balance, and sent the donations for the course to individuals and groups in need.

Yaz Gündönümü Kutlama Meditasyonu / Summer Solstice Celebration Meditation (Turkish)

Bu meditasyon, Mart 2020 ile Temmuz 2020 arasında Pandemi başlar başlamaz gönlüme düşüp hayata geçirdiğim, bedensel-zihinsel-enerjetik dengelenme ve dayanışma amaçlı verdiğim online Qiqong ve Meditasyon Derslerimden bir kayıt. Çok güzel bir grup ile her hafta Pazar sabahları buluştuk ve hem stres attık ve dengelendik, hem de ders için toplanan bağışları Pandemi sırasında maddi zorluk çeken kişi ve organizasyonlara ilettik.. Bu meditasyon içerisinde yanlışlıkla ekinoks demişim lakin Haziran 2020 de kaydedilen meditasyon Yaz Gündönümü ne ait. İçinde yer alan müzikler ders sırasında youtube’dan açılarak sunuldu. Bunlar Byron Metcalf’ten Heart Warriors ve ismini tekrar bulacağım bir sanatçıya ait.  Bu iki sanatçıya da teşekkürlerimle. Şifa ol’du.

The music used was used from youtube and belongs to Byron Metcalf (Heart Warriors song) and another musician I can’t locate at the moment. I give them my gratitude.

Zihinsizlik Meditasyonu / No Mind Meditation (Turkish)

Bu meditasyon The Homeworkshops Platformunun pandeminin ilk zamanlarında ihtiyaç hisseden tüm bireylere destek amacıyla düzenlediği ve ücretsiz sunduğu farkındalık çalışmaları kapsamında verdiğim atölyelerden. Bu çalışma 19 Haziran 2020’de gerçekleşti. The Homeworkshops’ın bu güzel ve değerli çalışmasının bir parçası ol’maktan mutluluk duyuyorum. 
This meditation took place on June 19, 2020 as part of the workshops I did for The Homeworkshops platform during the first months of the Pandemie. To support individuals during the crisis, The Homeworkshops platform in Turkey provided free mindfulness courses and workshops. I am grateful for their work and happy to have been a part of this project. 

Nefes Farkındalığı Meditasyonu / Awareness of Breath Meditation (Turkish)

Nefes bir nimet ve bizi kolaylıkla an’a getiren ve bedenle zihni tekrar bağlayan muhteşem bir hediye.. Bu meditasyonda sakince ve keyifle nefesimizi izliyoruz ve bırakıyoruz nefes bize rehberlik etsin. Düzenli uygulama ile konsantrasyonunuz artabilir ve günlük hayatta ihtiyaç hissettiğiniz her an nefese dönerek an’a ve bedene tekrar tekrar bağlanabilir ve zamanla farkındalığınızın geliştiğini gözlemleyebilirsiniz. Şifa ol’sun.

The breath is a gift that brings us easily and without effort, to the moment and reconnects the mind and body. In this meditation, calmly and with joy, we observe the breath and allow the breath to guide us. With regular practice, this meditation might increase your concentration and give you a tool you can use daily. Throughout a day, whenever you feel the need you can go back to the breath, and reconnect to the moment and to the body, again and again. You might notice an improvement in your overall mindfulness.
